New Sky Box (Version 2.32.27) and Sky Pod (Version 2.32.32)
  • Skip Intro - Skip past the opening credits of your favourite show and get straight to the action.
  • Auto Play – Skip past the closing credits and straight into the next episode.
  • Quick Fast Forward – Scan through On Demand shows to find where you want to watch.
In addition, we’ve made further improvements to the Home Page including adding a rail for upcoming Live Events.

New Sky Box (Version 2.29.22) and Sky Pod (Version 2.29.21)
 
  • Alternative Audio
    Alternative Audio allows viewers to switch to an alternative commentary on selected live sports matches. Just visit any show page on screen and click the ‘Subtitles and Audio’ button. If Alternative Audio is available, you’ll see the options on the next screen.
     
  • New Content Pages
    We’ve added exciting new pages to the on-screen navigation so it’s even easier to find the sport and entertainment you love. You’ll see options for ‘sport’ and ‘shows and movies’ on the on screen menu that will take you to new home pages with the latest entertainment, highlights and top picks.


New Sky Box (Version 2.27.24) and Sky Pod (Version 2.27.31)
 
  • Instant Replays for Sky Sport  
    No more waiting for replays! This exciting new feature for our Sky Sport whanau adds a Home Page rail showing replays of live sport - available as soon as the live event finishes.  

    Instant Replays will show the exact live broadcast (i.e. with advertising). Once the edited version of the replay is ready, it will replace the Instant Replay. You can also find Instant Replay beneath the show tile.  
     
  • Sport Live Right Now Rail  
    Watch any live event from the start of the programme! Simply head to the Sport Live Right Now Rail on the Home Page and find your chosen show. This function uses an IP stream which means satellite customers can watch live sport even if rain fade occurs. 
     
  • Planner Improvements with My Sky 
    You’ll now find better organisation of your recordings in the Planner and easily be able to see what you’ve already recorded, what’s scheduled to record in future, and clearer messaging about deleting your recordings.

The improvements in this upgrade include:

  • Remote Record – You can now use Sky Go to set up your recordings when you’re away from home. Find out how here.
  • Recording – Applied a fix for My Sky where recordings were being split into multiple files
  • Recording Playback – The ability to return to the last played position in your recordings
  • TV Guide - Skip 24 hours ahead on the TV guide using the Fast Forward and Rewind buttons
  • TV Guide - Visit a channel on the TV Guide by entering the channel number

The improvements in this upgrade include:

  • TV Guide - the TV Guide will load faster on initial launch and scroll more smoothly across days.

  • Watching TV - channels will now load faster when surfing. 

  • Back button - you can now press 'back' when watching live TV to jump to the previous channel you were watching. 

  • Recording - scheduled recordings will now update automatically if the scheduled time changes.

The improvements in this upgrade include:

  • TV Guide - the TV Guide will load faster on initial launch and scroll more smoothly across days.

  • Watching TV - channels will now load faster when surfing. 

  • Back button - you can now press 'back' when watching live TV to jump to the previous channel you were watching.

  • We have also introduced automatic satellite scanning of signal, which eliminates the need for manual signal detection.
  • The issue where the box would become stuck on a blue screen with white circles has been resolved in this release.
  • Furthermore, we have made improvements to reduce crashes experienced by some users.
  • Finally, we have addressed issues related to navigation and focus.
